My first career involved coaching Division I Swimming and Diving, while engaging in research on the side. I loved it all, and ultimately chose to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology for numerous reasons. As life sometimes offers, I took some interesting turns through research and practice in sport psychology, disordered eating, and then in Traumatic Brain Injury and trauma at the VA. There, I was able to engage in all manner of interesting things in research, teaching, and administration. Throughout all of this, I experienced the joy of service, in that my work was my joy and passion. At the same time, I came home daily with far too little fuel in the tank for the two very high energy children I managed to produce. As such, I joined a lovely and forward-thinking private practice and learned from some of the best.
In starting Stonewall Integrative Therapy, LLC, I hope to combine the passion and service orientation I experienced at the VA with the expertise, balance, and autonomy I experienced at Mindwell NYC. My goal is to decrease overhead and therefore cost to you, providing high quality evidence-based and integrative therapy.
